Spectronics Corporation has appointed Fred Silverman as its Chief Financial Officer. Silverman’s addition to the senior management team is part of Spectronics’ ongoing, multi-year growth plan.
Silverman has been an outside financial advisor to Spectronics since he first started as an accountant in 1979. He recently concluded a successful 30-year career at the CPA firm Janover LLC as that firm’s chief financial counsel for Spectronics. Fred has an MBA from Hofstra University’s Frank G. Zarb School of Business and he specializes in IT and software policies.
“Bringing Fred on board just makes sense. He really is an extended member of our family business. His ability to develop growth strategies that maximize ROI while minimizing exposure have always served us well in the past,” said Spectronics’ President Jon Cooper of the reason for Silverman’s hiring. “Going forward, that will be critical as we continue to successfully leverage our positions into new sectors and emerging markets—both domestically and globally.”
