Spectronics Corporation President Jon Cooper featured in a Newsday story examining how manufacturers stay ahead of supply chain disruptions. Cooper says on the issue…
“It’s important to always keep a list of secondary/emergency suppliers onhand for components that don’t have a lot of vendors dealing in them,” he adds. “You should actively monitor the costs other suppliers are charging and the availability of those components. That way if a vendor cannot supply the item either in the short or long term, you already have a backup plan in place to keep production flowing.”
The majority of Spectronics suppliers are based in the United States. Cooper makes it a priority to use high-quality components made by American workers, just like those tools made by Spectronics Corporation, the world’s leading manufacturer of ultraviolet equipment and fluorescent materials. Spectronics state-of-the-art products are built to exacting engineering standards and are utilized for hundreds of markets and applications that demand uncompromising quality and reliability.
