Adrian’s ability to connect the HVAC community with valuable and engaging content combined with his expertise in HVAC/R makes him someone worth recognizing. In his interview with Spectroline’s Vertical Marketing Strategist, Laura Heckman, Adrian offers valuable insights into the HVAC industry and discusses the challenges of balancing a successful career with family life and the importance of being authentic.
Family matters
Adrian’s journey into the HVAC world began with inspiration from his father’s dedication to his work. Initially drawn to electrical engineering, Adrian’s path shifted when he recognized a need for HVAC services within his family’s business. “Growing up in a strict yet supportive household, I developed a strong work ethic, inspired by my dad’s dedication to his own trade,” Adrian shared. He also instilled in Adrian, the importance of making time for family.
“We always took vacations together. He always made time for us. I was in sports, my brothers were in other things and one thing that I remember is my parents always were there at the events. They were always there at our school. They were always involved and that’s something that I want to balance going forward now that I have my family. Just because you’re in the trades and you work hard doesn’t mean that you don’t have your family time,” Adrian said.
Enrolling in a hands-on community college program ignited his passion for the field. “I discovered my passion for the field,” Adrian explained. “The hands-on approach of the community college program really resonated with me.” Balancing a thriving career with family life is a challenge many professionals face. Adrian prioritizes spending quality time with his family. “My family is my anchor,” he said. “Balancing work and family is essential, and I’ve learned to prioritize time with my loved ones.”

Another key point made by Adrian for content creators is not to slow yourself down by overthinking. “If you’re gonna do it, just record. Just start, just upload it.”
While many content creators worry about their numbers, Adrian focuses on something else- attracting his tribe with authenticity. “Don’t worry about the numbers because you’re going to eventually just attract people that like what you do or are like you. And that’s more important. I’ve never cared about a viral video”. Adrian goes on to talk about organic growth. “I’d rather have the audience and engagement from people that like I said, either like what I do or are like me, and then that helps the channel grow”.
As Adrian looks to the future, he focuses on expanding his business and taking on a more significant leadership role. “I’ve always been a technician first,” he admitted. “Now, I’m focused on developing my business skills and taking the company to the next level.”

One road trip recently, we left a couple hours out, took the kids out for the day and got away. It clears your mind. And you know, I’ve talked to so many business owners and it’s so hard to turn it off, but you gotta figure out how to turn it off.”

ADRIAN’S FAVORITE SPECTROLINE PRODUCT
“I know a lot of people like the leak dye because it’s it’s just a dye. It’s just oil, and personally that’s the one I always used and I found tons of leaks with it, but I personally have been enjoying the Sceau GLO recently.” Adrian is an advocate for GLO Seal especially when it comes to servicing older units. “I can only spray so many bubbles, I don’t know where I am looking for this leak cause I’ve had to add refrigerant once or twice, so I’ve been going to the GLO Seal”. Adrian happily continues, “I’ve actually had no callbacks, whereas with other products, like a month or two later, they called back that it’s low again.” Currently, he has both units he serviced a year ago, working perfectly fine. We are happy to share that Adrian is always stocking GLO Seal in his van.
