HR Generalist

Summary/Objective:

Performs Human Resources related duties and supports all facets of human resources including full life-cycle talent acquisition, employee relations, training and development, legal compliance, performance management, benefits and recognition programs. This position requires a high level of integrity, a strong knowledge of HR, and a proactive approach to HR related issues. The HR Generalist will consult with management and other colleagues to identify business and/or people concerns and work together to develop solutions.

Responsibilities:

· Provide day-to-day employee relations support, address concerns and provide disciplinary guidance for managers

· Partner with Production Manager and Foremen to develop and maintain manufacturing workflows and job descriptions

· Partner with HR Manager to source and recruit seasonal and permanent employees, ensure a positive on-boarding experience

· Manage the manufacturing training initiatives; research grants and funding, scheduling with training providers and follow up with the state on any open items

· Participate in the collective bargaining agreement negotiations, ensure company compliance with CBA on matters such as wages, hours, or working conditions

· Serve as a coach to employees around career development and performance issues

· Prepare internal employee communications regarding compensation, benefits, or company policies.

· Maintain the company HRIS and filing system, and ensure accuracy of all employee information

· Recommend initiatives, policies and procedures for continuous improvements on efficiency of production

· Serve a backup to the Payroll Specialist

· Promote a positive, engaging, and a supportive workplace
